You probably don't think of opening your pool until warmer weather reminds you, but you may find our opening schedule already filled by then. We suggest that you contact us NOW to schedule your pool opening for the week you prefer. PLEASE USE THE "SCHEDULE OPENING" BUTTON ABOVE OR GIVE US A CALL. IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED OUR GREEN MAILER YOU MAY FAX OR MAIL IT with the applicable items filled out and we will schedule your pool accordingly.

WE DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY POOL OPENINGS UNTIL YOU CONTACT US!

Remember, all our work is done on a first come, first serve basis. It may take some time for your water to clear after filtration and chemical treatment has started. For this reason we ask that you schedule your opening at least 3 weeks before you have a party or wish to use the pool.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS...

The past few years have seen an increased scrutiny and regulation of the swimming pool industry. Poolservice makes every effort to comply with all local, state and federal regulations. As these regulations become stricter each year, compliance has become more expensive. Poolservice reserves the right to pass along these expenses as they arise. Due to the stricter government enforcement measures, the draining of pools will be substantially more expensive than in previous years.

HOW DO I GET MY POOL READY FOR SWIMMING IN THE SPRING?

  • FIRST you need to do these things.......
  • NEXT we will "Start Up" the pool.....
  • Things to do AFTER we open the pool.....
1. Schedule your pool opening date for at least THREE WEEKS prior to any pool party.
2. VACUUMING IS NOT INCLUDED with a normal start up. Vacuuming is available at an extra charge but
MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE AND WILL NOT BE PERFORMED AT THE TIME OF OPENING.
3. You do not have to be home IF you arrange access to the pool, system, and the equipment - keys, gate, alarms,
dogs, etc. If our crew cannot perform scheduled work due to access problems or low water level and has to return
at a later time, you will be charged an additional fee.
4. Also, we will need to have access to stored equipment (baskets, ladders, rails, pool cleaner, etc.)
5. If your filter system is inside we will need access to it as well.
6. Make sure your outside fresh water is on for us to use.
7. Raise water to normal operating level unless pool is to be drained and cleaned.
8. You can save money by removing water and debris from your solid cover.
1. Remove, clean and fold pool cover. You have to tell us where to store it otherwise we will leave it on the deck.
We do not recommend removal of raised wall cover anchors.
2. If requested, drain and clean pool. Debris will be removed, bagged and placed at curbside. We will leave the pool filling.YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF THE     WATER WHEN THE POOL IS FULL AND CALL US TO LET US KNOW IT’S FULL.
3. Install ladders, rail(s), skimmer baskets and accessories.
4. De-winterize and start up filter system. Set system to run continuously
5. Test fire heater. Heater will be left off but ready for operation unless instructed otherwise.
6. On-site water analysis and initial water adjustment.
7. Recommend necessary repairs and replacements. We will do minor repairs if needed to get system started.
1. Read the SPRING START UP door hanger, front and back.It contains important instructions about your filter system, heater, pool cleaner and chemicals.
2. Vacuum your pool manually before activating pool cleaner.
3. Brush walls and floor thoroughly.
4. Check skimmer and hair/lint baskets and empty frequently.
5. Check your filter pressure often. When it goes up 10 pounds over normal pressure you will need to backwash.
6. Begin regular chemical maintenance: Put in chlorine, test and adjust ph. Refer To The Start Up Note.
7. Set filter time clock or program pool computer AFTER WATER IS CLEAR.
8. Set heater thermostat at desired temperature and turn on switch when you want to heat the water.
9. Set timers on pool cleaner or program pool computer after one manual vacuuming.
10. Call Poolservice if you have any problems. The service technician who started your pool can usually be reached in the office between 8:00 and 8:30 AM if you       have any questions about your system. Water chemistry questions can be answered by our trained office staff all day, but we suggest you call in the middle       of the day for faster service.
